You will learn to prepare a full traditional Sri Lankan meal from scratch. This includes a spice garden tour, grinding fresh spices, making authentic Sri Lankan curries (chicken, fish, and vegetable), preparing hoppers and string hoppers, cooking rice with accompaniments like sambol and pol roti, and making traditional desserts. You will take home all the recipes.

Absolutely! We cater to all dietary requirements including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free. Sri Lankan cuisine has a rich tradition of vegetable curries, lentil dishes (dhal), and coconut-based preparations. Just let us know your preferences when booking and we will customize the menu for you.

The full cooking experience lasts approximately 4 to 5 hours. This includes the spice garden tour (30 minutes), hands-on cooking (2.5 to 3 hours), and the communal dining experience where you enjoy the meal you have prepared (1 hour). We recommend arriving by 9:00 AM for the morning session.
